It’s official: the spring semester issue of Vantage Point, UVM’s literary journal, has hit the campus. The issue is beautiful, from the zany but smart cover art of Jackson Tupper to the last poem, “cheek,” by Addie Herbert, which reads in full:
I chewed a hole straight through my cheek,
and now the world can see the words before I speak.
It only took a week.
It’s amazing to think that only a few years ago, Vantage Point was a cheap, saddle-stapled affair with hand drawn covers. This most recent issue would grace anyone’s bookshelves.
I’m glad, as the journal’s new advisor, to have gotten to know Ellen Keane and Yarden Salei, the passionate Editors-in-Chief of this issue. Congrats to the entire editorial team, and to those whose work is included…
